GCMA - Great Commission Minister's Association

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

The Great Commission Ministers Association was formed in April of 2004 with distinct purposes in mind. Recognizing that ministry preparation is more than a process of academic education, GCMA has chosen to place a priority on practical training and actual hours of ministry involvement.

GCMA understands that the contemporary world will not be reached without us employing new ideas, “cutting edge” methods, and creative techniques. At the same time, we must remain faithful to Biblical principles and conservative ethical standards. Equipping a new generation of ministers who not only recognize this truth, but also are given hands-on training to prepare for it, is our best hope for the future. For that reason, Conquest will use all of its divisions and partnerships to implement this lofty goal.

The Great Commission Ministerial Association offers a Certified Minister’s License as well as Ordination, but only for candidates who fulfill the strict and arduous requirements of the association. GCMA credentials are more meaningful than most-- requiring real intellectual achievement, personal integrity, and thousands of actual hours of ministry training.

Among the specific purposes for creation of the Great Commission Ministers Association and its Credentialing Board are:

  • To guide Holy Spirit-filled ministers into the Pentecostal ministry.
  • To provide academic education that will be both intellectually challenging and practically applicable to real ministry.
  • To streamline the process of ministerial credentialing, eliminating both unnecessary barriers and unqualified recipients.
  • To train ministers through a “hands-on” approach to ministry.
  • To place a priority on new ideas, “cutting edge” methods, and creative techniques, while remaining faithful to Biblical principles and standards.
  • To motivate ministers toward achieving maximum potential in ministry.
  • To mentor ministers in the principles of discipleship and personal discipline.
  • To stress godly morals, high ethical standards, conservative Biblical doctrines, and excellence in personal living.
  • To equip ministers with a desire for outreach and evangelism, especially in urban areas and among difficult cultural groups.
  • To administer a strong network of personal accountability for the minister.
  • To inspire passion in ministers for the work of God.
  • To be selective in offering meaningful ministerial credentials to only the best candidates, with superior training, and utmost integrity.
