Students will be asked to sign a covenant of discipline upon entering our Master’s Commission. The purpose of the covenant is to make the student aware of the responsibility, integrity, and accountability that is required at Master’s Commission. The covenant will cover the following areas:
- Respect for PMC staff, COTR staff, and members of Church On The Rock
- Safety and accountability
- “Getting along” within Master’s Commission
- Dress codes
- Promptness and curfews
- House and phone rules
- Completing assignments
- Movies (limited somewhat)
- Secular music is not allowed except Christmas music, classical, and approved instrumental
- No dating
- Ministerial confidentiality regarding counseling sessions
- Moral uprightness
It is our intention to see each of our student’s graduate having achieved a higher level of discipline in every area of their lives. But that’s not the only reason for the Covenant of Discipline. We hope that in laying our expectations out before the students ahead of time, we won’t spend most of our energy on correction and discipline problems, but on teaching, spiritual growth and the many areas of ministry that are available to them. If the student agrees to be disciplined in these areas, we’ll have a very smooth and enjoyable year!
