We have laid out a payment plan and ask that each deadline is made, you will receive a financial schedule with your acceptance packet. Applicants who have been accepted will receive detailed information about their financial obligations and will be required to sign a statement of financial commitment. Any problem with meeting deadlines for the financial arrangements must be discussed with the Director on an individual basis before the program begins. If a student is not paid up it could result in that student missing out on traveling trips.
Meals
Master’s Commission will provide at least four meals during a normal week. The MC fund will provide an allowance for meals on all tours and trips (snacks and spending money are not provided). MC’s will be responsible for all meals, groceries and snack money other than the meals provided as mentioned above. This money is not included in the tuition.
Expenses Not Included In Tuition
In addition to some food costs; MC’s will be expected to provide their own laundry supplies and personal toiletry items. An ITEMS TO BRING list will be provided including things such as towels, sheets, blankets, sleeping bag, etc they will also be responsible for personal medical expenses and medicines. MC’s must consider how much personal spending money they will need each month and make arrangements to cover them.
Transportation
MC’s are not required to bring a car, but it is encouraged. Those who do not bring a car are required to provide 50% of the gas money for the student they carpool with. Buses will be used for tours, trips and most local ministry outreaches. Very rarely will we ask students to volunteer their cars or trucks for ministry. Any student who brings their car is required to have car insurance.
Housing
We house all MC’s in houses owned by Church On The Rock. We will provide a twin sized bed for each student and a chest of drawers that will we be shared with your roommate. The homes the students live in are brand new houses that have been purchased by the church for Master’s Commission. They have also been furnished with new furniture, appliances, and washers and dryers. The houses are all located in close proximity of each other in a very safe neighborhood.
Supplies Provided
A nine-month supply of cleaning products, pots and pans, plates, cups, dish washing detergent, etc. will be provided for each house.
Dress
MC’s are allowed to dress casually during the week. Most wear blue jeans and a T-shirt. Saturday night dress can be more casual. Sunday morning dress will be determined by the ministry rotation that the student is in at the time. No shorts will be worn to church services on Sundays. Both guys and girls are required to wear safety shirts. Safety shirts are under shirts worn tucked in so that belly or underwear remain where they should.
Body Piercing
Body piercing is not allowed except for girl’s ears. Earrings for guys are not allowed during the program.
Hair
Because the MC’s are representing Church On The Rock, we ask that the girls and guys avoid extreme styles. We encourage the students to remain up to date in their appearance without pushing the limits. The Director reserve the right to make judgments on an individual basis.
Musical Instruments
MC’s may bring any musical instruments they have. We encourage MC’s to develop their talents for the glory of God! You will not be required to loan your instruments to other students for ministry use.
Uniforms
MC Students will be provided with one of each Team T-shirt needed for ministry. We will also provide a Conquest outfit for school assemblies. If a t-shirt is lost or damaged, it will be the student’s responsibility to replace it.
Relationships
Basic to the Master’s Commission program throughout the nation is the understanding that there will be no dating, nor will there be romantic relationships allowed to develop during the nine months of a first year Master’s Commission disciple. If an applicant is presently involved in a relationship, they should understand that it must end before the program begins (love letters, phone calls, gifts, etc. are not allowed). This rule applies to relationships both inside and outside of Master’s Commission. It is strongly advisable that MC’s not begin a relationship with anyone during the weeks and months prior to beginning the program. It will only make it more difficult for everyone involved. To some this rule may seem extreme, but if it is viewed as a type of “fast”, the benefits will become evident. Master’s Commission will demand 100% focus and commitment with no distractions. If it’s God - it will wait! This rule will be explained in more detail after you arrive to the program.
